A bird brooch made from a fine crocheted mat (Doily) that can be placed on a table or under a plate in the shape of a feather. The structure is inspired by Indonesian traditional puppets with moving hands called wayang, and their wings flap.

Dutch artist living in Norway.
In 1986 she began training as a traditional goldsmith, and in 1991 she enrolled in the jewelry class of the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Here she finds a way of creating her work that combines her childhood loves of knitting and crochet with the techniques of jewelry making, combining art and a sense of humor. She began her career as an artist in 1996 after graduating.

She was born near a zoo and grew up hearing elephants and giraffes being carried away by bulldozers run by her parents' company, and has incorporated figurines of her favorite animals into her work. Invent something. She orders figures from toy manufacturer catalogs, disassembles and welds them, dresses them in carefully woven knitwear, and combines them with jewels and parts skillfully made from silver and gold. We are making it into an art piece.

In her more than 20 years of activity, she has held numerous solo exhibitions at museums and has received worldwide acclaim for her work with unique animals. has the dignity of being a piece of wearable art.
